Traveller’s, Cash Declarations

Using this service, a passenger crossing the external border of the European Union and travelling to/from other European Union countries can submit their Passenger or Cash Declaration data in advance electronically

By submitting your Passenger Declaration data electronically, you will also be able to pay any duties and taxes due, if applicable.

Important!

A Cash Declaration is submitted when transporting (sending) cash worth 10,000 euros or more, or upon request by customs

A Passenger Declaration is submitted upon request by customs

Acceptance and processing of declarations

Passenger Declaration accepted

Passenger Declaration rejected

Goods (cash) released

Goods (cash) not released

Data of the completed Cash Declaration sent to the traveller's indicated email address

Consequences where violations are identified

If customs identifies violations or if you fail to comply with the established requirements:

• goods may be detained or confiscated
• cash may be temporarily detained
• administrative offence proceedings or a pre-trial investigation may be initiated

The declaration is processed immediately upon submission of the data.

Free of charge

The service will be provided outside the system when you provide information in writing on the prescribed Passenger or Cash Declaration form.
