Who may lodge a declaration?

A declaration may be lodged by any person (declarant) who is able to:

• provide all information required to complete the selected customs procedure;
• present the goods to customs or ensure that they are presented.

Additional actions:

Using this service, you may also, where applicable:

• submit a request to amend a declaration already lodged;
• submit a request to invalidate a declaration already lodged;
• submit a permit where restrictions or prohibitions apply to the goods;
• submit a request for authorisation to apply an end-use or processing customs procedure;
• pay the duties and taxes due; or
• submit a guarantee securing the payment of duties and taxes due.

Acceptance and processing of declarations

The service recipient must hold an Economic Operators Registration and Identification number (EORI number) issued in the Republic of Lithuania or in another European Union Member State. The service recipient must be registered as a recipient of customs electronic services (BAP).

Consequences where violations are identified

If customs identifies violations or if you fail to comply with the established requirements:

• goods may not be released, may be detained or confiscated
• administrative offence proceedings or a pre-trial investigation may be initiated

The declaration is processed immediately upon submission of the declaration data.

Free of charge

Paper-based documents may be used temporarily in the event of temporary failures of the computerised systems of customs or economic operators.
