General information
This section contains information needed:
- to develop software for submitting Intrastat report data to IDAIS via a system-to-system (S2S) integration, and for testing the developed software.
- to complete a report in XLSX format.
About the IDAIS Specification
The IDAIS and Business Management Information Systems (hereinafter, VVIS) Integration Specification defines the integration between IDAIS and the application software systems used by customs clients (both natural and legal persons). This documentation provides the technical foundation for adapting VVIS for data submission using XML files, both through IDAIS portal uploads and via S2S solutions.
Communication between IDAIS and the VVIS takes place via the EM-VARTAI system, using web services described in the
Specification of the ESB Module EM‑VARTAI Web Services for Communication with External Systems (LT: ESB modulio EM-VARTAI žiniatinklio paslaugos, skirtos išorinių sistemų komunikacijai, specifikacija).
The IDAIS and VVIS interface specification document describes electronic message exchange scenarios for the submission of Intrastat reports, the structures of electronic messages exchanged between IDAIS and the VVIS (understood as XML documents), XSD schemas and other technical information.
Intrastat Report Filling in XLSX Format
Intrastat statistical report data may also be prepared and uploaded to the IDAIS external portal in XLSX format. A special XLSX file recognised by IDAIS must be used for this purpose.
The same form is used for submitting report data in both directions (arrivals and dispatches) (download).
It is recommended that, for the first time, an Intrastat statistical report or part thereof be filled in in the IDAIS external portal, the report then exported in XLSX format, and the file used for subsequent filling. If you have already submitted at least one Intrastat statistical report in the last 24 months, you may export it from the IDAIS external portal and use it as the basis for filling in subsequent reports.
More information on filling in reports can be found in the IDAIS user guide published at intrastatas.muitine.lt.
Intrastat Report Filling in XML Format
Intrastat statistical report data may be prepared and uploaded to the IDAIS external portal in XML format.
Instructions for Intrastat Report Filling in XML Format (LT: Intrastato ataskaitos XML formatu pildymo instrukcija) (download).
Note. The XML file must be generated by software in accordance with the approved XSD schema and completed in compliance with the established rules. The XML file structure is sensitive even to the smallest inconsistencies. Manual creation of the XML file is not recommended.
If it is not possible to generate the XML file automatically, fill in the Intrastat report manually in the portal. For making minor corrections, it is most convenient to use the XLSX file download and upload functionality.
Specification of the ESB Module EM‑VARTAI Web Services for Communication with External Systems
